50% off Nui Organics at MyHabit and a note on italics...

Perfection, right?  These beautiful, muted colors are so nice to look and so different from typical baby-colored clothing!  These are all made by Nui Organics and are on sale for 50% off or more until 9 am on April 25th (with free shipping, as always).  I love the simple sleeveless stripe Noemi dress on the top row in charcoal.  And the little Dottie sweater/pants sets are beyond amazing... so, so beautiful!  And for cool summer evenings by the ocean (or even in Grandma's over air-conditioned house), every baby should have something comparable to that beautiful button-neck Peta sweater.  Most of these items are completely unisex and absolutely stunning.  Click here for all of the Nui Organics items on sale right now at MyHabit.  I really wish my twins still fit into 18-24 month sizes...

And now the note on italics.  I was thinking of Wallace Stegner's Crossing to Safety today.  The micromanaging character of Charity Lang is always quoted with emphasized words in italics.  Do you know someone who speaks with dramatic emphasis like that?  These clothes from Nui Organics certainly had me thinking in italics, so I decided that Mr. Stegner should also be a part of this post.  Besides, the cover art below seems to have been painted from the same color palate as the clothing above.  If you are looking for a beautiful mental escape from the daily mundane, here are some of my Wallace Stegner favorites that only get better the second, third and fourth time around:

  3. Crossing to Safety is my all time favorite book. I took a Stegner class in college - the best in the English major. "She had a smile I would gladly accept as my last view on Earth" (or something like that). So good.

    1. That quotation is so, so good. I am jealous that you had a whole Stegner class! I was clearly in the wrong majors. : ( I hope your trip was fabulous (J said you had a great time).
