Portolano baby sweaters at MyHabit...

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Aren't these absolutely lovely?  Portolano knits are never cheap, but if you have to get one of these, the price is right at the moment over at MyHabit.  As in about 65% off retail price.  These beautiful little sweater coats for babies up to 24 months are marked down from $165 to $60.

These little collared cardigans are also about 65% off, marked down from $155 to $53.  Find the sweaters above and lots of other cute things from Portolano in this sale for babies, ending Friday morning.  All orders from MyHabit ship for free, and you can log in using your Amazon username and password (MyHabit is owned by Amazon).  As Lola (of Charlie and Lola) would say, it's "easy peasy lemon squeezy".

We often quote Lola at our house.  Do you love Charlie and Lola as much as I do?  In case you haven't come across Charlie and Lola before, it is a wonderful series of stories by Lauren Child that was later made into a TV show.  This is TV you won't mind your kids watching; Charlie is a kind and patient older brother to his very energetic and imaginative little sister, Lola.  I adore this series because of the lovely relationship between these siblings.  The stories are very funny for all ages and the illustrations (and animation) are a fantastic mix of simple drawings and collage.

The first book, that won the Kate Greenaway Medal in the UK in 2000, is called I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato.  Find it in paperback here.  And I have found that public libraries often have a great selection of Charlie and Lola DVDs to check out.  The video versions have carried us successfully through many long road trips...
